Every ingredient, and why it is there

Femicore keeps its label short on purpose. One small capsule carries a 350mg herbal blend and a 50mg five-strain probiotic, nine actives in total, each chosen for a specific role in the cleanse, soothe, re-seed and balance approach. Here is the full account, nothing hidden.

The herbal blend · 350 mg

Four botanicals that prepare the ground

Cr

Cranberry Extract (30% proanthocyanidins)

The headline urinary botanical. Its proanthocyanidins are studied for stopping unwanted bacteria from sticking to the bladder wall, the first step in keeping the tract clear, with none of the sugar that comes from drinking juice.

core
Be

Bearberry Leaf (Uva-Ursi)

A urinary soother used in European herbal practice for centuries. Its naturally occurring arbutin is associated with a calmer, cleaner urinary tract and complements cranberry's anti-adhesion role.

soothe
Mp

Mimosa Pudica Seed

The gentle cleanser of the blend. In traditional use the seed's sticky fibre helps sweep along microbes and debris that do not belong, tidying the terrain before the friendly strains move in.

cleanse
Bb

Granular Berberine HCl

A bright-yellow plant alkaloid with a deep research record for supporting healthy microbial balance across the body. In Femicore it backs up Mimosa pudica in clearing the unwanted growth that keeps a bladder irritated.

balance

The probiotic blend · 50 mg

Five Lactobacillus strains that re-seed it

Lc

Lactobacillus crispatus

The keystone. L. crispatus dominates a healthy female urogenital microbiome and helps hold the slightly acidic environment that keeps unfriendly bacteria from taking over.

anchor
La

Lactobacillus acidophilus

One of the most studied probiotics there is. It produces lactic acid that supports the protective, acidic terrain the urinary tract relies on.

acidify
Lp

Lactobacillus plantarum

A hardy, adaptable strain known for surviving the journey through digestion so more of it arrives where it is meant to work.

resilient
Lg

Lactobacillus gasseri

A strain naturally found in the female microbiome, included to help re-establish a balanced, well-populated flora.

restore
Lcs

Lactobacillus casei

Rounds out the blend by supporting the broader gut microbiome, which research increasingly links to urinary health through the gut-bladder connection.

How the two blends work together

On their own, neither half of Femicore would do the full job. The botanicals are excellent at clearing and calming, but they cannot put friendly bacteria back. The probiotic strains are excellent at re-seeding, but they take hold far better in a terrain that has already been cleansed and soothed. Pairing them in one capsule is the whole point: the herbs prepare the ground in the morning, the strains move in behind them, and the daily rhythm keeps both working.

The doses are built for a single, easy-to-swallow capsule rather than a fistful of pills. A 350mg herbal blend gives the four botanicals room to contribute without overloading the formula, and 50mg of a five-strain probiotic delivers a broad, varied culture rather than betting everything on one organism. Variety matters with probiotics, because different strains settle in different niches of the same living system.

What is not in it

Femicore is non-GMO and contains no caffeine or stimulants, so it will not leave you jittery or disturb your sleep. There are no artificial colours or flavours in the active formula. The only other ingredients are the few needed to make a stable capsule: a gelatin capsule shell, brown rice flour, magnesium stearate, olive oil and silicon dioxide. That is the entire list. If you are vegetarian and prefer to avoid gelatin, that is worth noting before you order.

A quick note on allergens and interactions. Bearberry and berberine are potent botanicals. If you are pregnant, nursing, on prescription medication, or managing a kidney or liver condition, talk with your doctor before starting Femicore. This page describes traditional and studied uses of the ingredients and is not medical advice.

Why these doses, and why one capsule

It would have been easy to chase a bigger number on the label. A lot of products do, printing an enormous probiotic count or a long list of herbs to look impressive on the shelf. We took a different view. The 350mg herbal blend is sized to give all four botanicals room to contribute without crowding any of them out, and the 50mg probiotic blend prioritises a spread of five complementary strains over a single inflated figure. With probiotics, variety tends to matter more than raw quantity, because different strains settle into different niches of the same living system, and a community is more resilient than a monoculture.

Fitting all of that into one small capsule was a deliberate goal too. The honest truth about supplements is that the best formula in the world does nothing if it sits unopened in a drawer. A single morning capsule is a habit most women can actually keep, where a powder to mix or a three-times-a-day schedule quietly falls apart within a fortnight. Consistency is the hidden active ingredient in any microbiome product, so we engineered the formula around the routine, not the other way round.

How the ingredients reach where they work

Bioavailability is the question of whether an ingredient survives the journey and arrives intact. For the botanicals, the standardised cranberry extract concentrates the proanthocyanidins so a meaningful amount makes it through, far more reliably than the diffuse dose you would get from juice. For the probiotics, strain selection does much of the heavy lifting: L. plantarum and L. casei are chosen partly because they are hardy travellers, better able to withstand stomach acid and reach the lower digestive tract, from which the gut-bladder connection lets them support the urinary terrain. Taking the capsule with water in the morning, rather than on a heavy, acidic stomach, gives the strains their gentlest possible passage.

Sourcing and testing

Every batch of Femicore is produced in a facility that follows Good Manufacturing Practice standards and is third-party tested for purity and potency, including screening for heavy metals and microbial contamination. The probiotic count is verified so the strains you read about on the label are the strains that reach you. You can read more about how we hold that standard on the quality promise page.
